![]() Just for existing, the Marauder gives the entire lance 10% damage reduction. That Lance Command Mod in the left torso? That’s stock. It’s honestly 50/50 whether or not it’s the best ‘Mech in the entire game. I’ll turn it into the good one later, I promise, but for the time being this is what we’re rocking: We are endgame face-wreckers now! To help keep our power in check, I build a “bad” Marauder to start with. I was going to jump straight into the flashpoint when we reached Tarragona, but… We’ll be topping that half-a-million mark soon! Our next payday comes up while we’re traveling, costing us 475,100 c-bills. That’s a fair tradeoff, even if -1 med point does hurt a lot. ![]() We take that seriously and get her the treatment she deserves, even if it reduces our ability to heal broken bones for a little while. Rooster lost a trait that generates minor bad events like this and has an addiction to opioids. The second and third options feel almost guaranteed to cause a pilot injury. It’s a loving stupid scoring requirement and I won’t be doing it. To earn the ‘Full Kerensky’ rank in the game’s rating we need to touch all 170 planets in this region of space. The entire Inner Sphere is still smaller than this red dot. They’re not visible here, but I’ll point them out the next time we get close. There are even three stars from the Pleiades cluster up in the upper right corner of the map. Only 170 of BattleTech’s 3,269 named planets are on the unmodded game’s map. This is a tiny corner of the periphery near the edge of the Inner Sphere. I’m pretty sure Tarragona is the ‘farthest’ accessible system from the top map edge, although there are a few that I’d call more remote. We’re down at the very bottom edge of the map. Let’s Play BattleTech: Career Mode – Flashpoint 3: Of Unknown Origin Time to get some Type V Myomer Replacements then! With as powerful as my company has become, it will still suffer when the Clan invasion comes.Update is coming, it's just taking a while to transcribe. The DLC has set the stage for the Clan invasion, and there a lot of room for another season of DLC, which I will buy the day the next season pass is available. The Maurader and Archer have started to make that possible. I want to use the new mechs to keep my company powerful, but lighter weight and more efficient. I've done the Flashpoints and am diversifying my mechs with the new ones because they are interesting. I bought the season pass when it came out and HBS has more than delivered on it. Occasionally, a pilot gets killed, then I go back to training up the next one.Įven before the DLC I kept going back to this campaign company, because they are so powerful. There is no mission in the game that we cannot win. I own 8 Highlanders, 6 pilots with all 10 skill ratings, several more close behind. I probably have the most powerful Merc company ever. I've been playing my original campaign for a long time. I hope somebody can answer my questions and take away my concerns :) But i dont want to buy 3 DLCs, only to realize that later in the game the problems from above are still the same. So summarize, i played Battletech for 70 hours, and it where fun 70 hours, and i would like to play again. But as far as i know that problem was resolved with the flashpoint addon, where you were able to get lostech. My final problem was, that the spoilermechs got worse over the course of the game, because your lostech would get damaged and destroyed during a fight (double heatsinks, anybody?). ![]() Is that different now? It was kind of demotivating to play all the way to get the Spoileratlas, only to realise that its better to outfit the mech with the standard weapons from the start of the game and not use the advanced superlaser. If i remember correct the lostech weapons from the base game, especially the energy weapons like that x-laser where not better than the normal lasers. Now with more mechs available and more weapons (i read something about coil weapons?), is there more to do at the end of the game? For example if you play campaign and you finished the campaign and got THE atlas, do i still want to continue playing because i do not have the best weapons, or will the new weapons be as good as the current ones/availalbe right from the start? My problem with the game was, that after you had the best mechs, there was no real point in continuing the game, because you had the best mechs and there where no real better weapons available. I have some questions about how battletech evolved over the time. Last time i played was vanilla, shortly before the flashpoint release. I am thinking of returning to battletech.
